Figured I'd introduce myself since I've been reading the post for a while. I'm a mid-lifer who has always liked Supra's. I had basically the same car back in 1989 - 1993 and loved it, even though I now know it had a BHG. I picked a 88 Turbo in the fall. I was looking for a project car, since I always wanted to rebuild a motor. Found one with a descent frame and body, and leaking oil from the crank. Got it for $600.

So far I've enjoyed taking the engine apart and labeling the heck out of everything. I have the engine out, and almost have the head off. I will be posting questions in the near future since I see now what parts need to be replaced (the turbo is shot). All of the information avaiilable has been a tremendous help so far. Thanks to all!

Welcome to the site!

I'm also a member of the geriatric club here, you are not alone. This is a great community. Stay around a while, and there is nothing we can't get you through. Go to the build section and start a build thread. Then post everything you do. If you do something wrong, you will be told, don't take offense, use it to your advantage.

Thanks for replies. In the next few weeks I'll start a build thread. I have many pictures so far. Remember at my age, if I don't take a picture, I forget wher the part goes! Bewteen work and three kids, my hobby is taking a backseat. See you in a few weeks.

Looking forward to a build thread.
Lol Dave. I can already see he has one of his kids doing yard work in the background of the first picture.
