As some of you know...my car was damaged recently in a fire...both taillights were melted, as well as the center section and mouldings...

Anyway, WeezL donated these fantastic taillights to me: Thanks WeezL!!!!!!!!!! they look great!

Here are some before and afters...

Well, I cant say the idea was my own. I think I got the mod idea from someone on here or SF, I forget now. The taillights are a major pain to take apart without cracking them (which is why one of John's is cracked..they were my first "test" set...and the reason why I didnt feel right charging him for them) Once taken apart they are pretty easy to just paint up in whatever configuration you want. I like the double rounds but considered doing triple horizontals to match the turns. I photoshopped a test to see what they would look like:

anyways, Im glad those worked out for ya jonathon...in the next couple of days Im gonna be really busy, but maybe this weekend I can get you some pics of that bumper as well.

a pattern? no, just some masking tape and shelf paper. The shelf paper is sticky backed vinyl and its easy to cut and use to mask off the areas you want to stay red. Then I just used black plastic paint. Realize your painting on the back side of the lens so the lenses still look kind of red...well, dark red.

The hardest part is taking the lenses off from the back part. Its not really meant to come apart.

Well on ebay they sell the vinyl pattern for it... see the attachment? This is what I copied when they were on ebay...

Nice! Uhhhh. My 89 tails were damaged in a horrible... Earthquake? Anyone wanna send me some + center piece :p

Family <3

I hate to hear about your loss Hells, so I've decided to send you an extra pair of tailights that I have for my 05 F-150. You can use velcro to hold them on. I always try to help those in need. Don't try to pay me for them, cause I won't accept it. I'm just doing it out of the goodness of my heart.

I know, I know,..........you're welcome............................;)
