I picked up this car for $500, its a 86.5 and its clean as hell. It has brand new tires, and came with a kenwood system....but the motors blown. The lady i bought it from said the motor was seized and she didnt want to rebuild it for $3500 lol. So i took it off her hands and im trying to find a motor to swap in. The only thing wrong with it is the plastic around the drivers mirror is cracked(if anyone has an extra set to sell me let me know)

The battery was dead when i got it so i put a jumper on it and it turned over and started but had a terrible rod knock. It ran for about 5 seconds then blew up and wouldnt start again....i have video of it from my friends phone ill post it later.

ROFL.

That thing is mint I wish I knew about that. Paint looks immaculate if its the original paint, no rust at all. Can't believe the old lady was bumpin that system!

But that thing is clean as hell, even the engine bay looks pretty clean. Should be excellent for a swap, how many miles are on it?

haha when it blew i almost crapped myself it was so loud. she was pretty cool too, at least in her mid 40s, and i think it has like 104k from what i remember. Im debating on selling my current dd, fixing this one, driving it for a while so i can save money and doing a 2jz in this or selling this one after the new motors in and buying a 89+.....i used to like them so much more but these taillights and front are growing on me lol

i'm more of a pre89 fan myself.. if you need a motor holla at my i know a reputable place in north jersey that gets front clips and complete engines in every week. just got my JDM 7MGE there and they took care of me real well answered all the questions i had and are completely honest. i plan on getting a 1JZ front clip from them... once I can find a car quite like the one you just bought :icon_evil

I got my 7MGE complete motor for $650 with ~ 60k km on it. 7M-GTE I believe they charge $1,500 , 2JZ-GTTE $2200 and 1JZ-GTE around the same.

they're on eBay, so you might wanna check it out...

You'd have to swap in a late 89+ cross member, or get the BIC conversion mounts..

you can keep the w58, if you swap in a 2JZ-W58 bell housing (N/A MKIV/SC300), but I doubt it'll last long under that kind of power..

other than that, misc things like the tach, flywheel, driveshaft, etc...
