I got the
90 T
91 ford ranger, that I keep just incase I need a truck.
an 03 s/c Xterra

I use the Xterra for travaling to an from out of state jobs for work, although the gas mileage isnt the best since I have to put minimum 92 octane in it.

might be buying the X's 91 or is it a 92 honda acoord. it got some 169 thousand miles on it, but she kept great care of it. eigher out right buy it from her or maybe trade her my ranger an just give her the difference.

I really need a reliable car for work/travel, since I dont like putting the miles on the Xterra an having to put 92 octane in it...

you guys hav anythingh good or bad to say about the 91 or 92 accord ?

I OWN A 1991 ACCORD EX.....

So...... all in all, mine has been pretty good to me. Previous owner was a fucking tool and neglected to tell me it was run into a snowbank and pulled out by its stabalizer bar! So i spent 300 in parts and a day fixin it and its been good ever since.

THE GOOD:
GREAT gas mileage, about 29-34 mpg.
Relatively responsive(5 spd) for an old 130 hp Honda
Cheap parts
No leaks on the sunroof, yet.
most importantly, NO BREAK DOWNS in over 4 YEARS!!

The BAD...

A premature dead battery once
My ig. timing got off on its own somehow (10 degrees! WTF?)
Misc rattles are abundent and annoying
Not a comfortable touring car (Road trips hurt your body)

OVERALL, if its been taken care of, I'm sure it'll reach 300k, no prob. Coworker just had his go out @ 390k on original motor and tranny. I'd say its a safe bet for a good, cheap daily driver.

I'd certainly rather drive my old, rattling Honda than a Ford Ranger of the same year, hands way down.

thanks for the input man,
I dont drive the ranger for work travel, I dont trust it, I just keep it around since its a truck.... incase I need it.

i use the Xterra for travele/work, its my better ride, but since I am making payments oin it, I dont wanna own for example 10 K an have 100 k miles on it, plus it takes the min 92 octane....

Ya, I'd say buy the Honda if you cant even trust the ranger for basic trips. My 17 year old Honda is more reliable than my parent's 98 Dakota or 2001 Subaru Outback and mine has over 160k.

Honda FTW! (but only for a commuter :))

yes lets spend 30k on a honda that you can only sit 2 people in it, cant haul anything in it. And oh yea is only a 13-14 second car, It sucks for what it is supposed to be.

And i would say go for the accord my co-worker has 480,xxx miles on his i didnt believe it untill i saw it the other day, He claims its the original motor/tranny and its been in his family sence brand new so it had been taken care of. :D

I wouldn't say that. I've never driven one, but its won Top Gear's motoring survey a few years in a row. It's not a drag car, but its a quick, nimble roadster with Honda reliability. Oh and its gets 30 MPG with 245 hp.

Its like a miata, its a nice car, handles well, but other than that wth can you do with it? but i dont want to argue about it. I know they are good cars for in the twisties, but for 30 grand i could name off plenty of cars that are just as good. I just dont care for the s2k i test drove one it handle really nice, but it just didnt intrest me farther than that. If i wanted a 2 seater id get a C5 for that price.

uh, $30,000?? It doesn't have to be an '07

Let me ask you: What is it supposed to be? It's a sports car....

Also... I didn't know 1/4 mile times were paramount when purchasing a roadster. I'd be more interested in a lap time around a road course...

I suggested it for several reasons.
Reliable
Powerful
Fun
Economical
Nimble
Attractive

It does have a trunk, you should be able to put quite a few things in there, Will.
It IS a 2 seater, but from what I've read and seen from Will, he doesn't hang out with anyone, and doesn't have a girlfriend any longer, so he really only needs one seat.
