getting this 1940s truck from my uncle, its a two axle half ton army supply truck, flatbed type. its been through a few engines, 4wd and its manual (wouldnt have it any other way). ill post pics and specs once i get my hands on it, probably gonna be requesting a lot of general knowledge help from everyone here on SM. if any of you could lend a hand/some info on this stuff it'd be greatly appreciated.

more pics to come, in my very own build thread

That's awesome. I love those old army trucks.
I have a truck project of my own in the not so distant future.
My brother wants to pick up a 95 or so 2wd Tacoma, and make it a new home for my 7MGE. :bigthumb:

ummmmmmmmmmm OK

damn straight its ok. getting it for $500, engine is pretty much rebuilt except for some loose piston rings. here are some generic pics of it, ill be picking it up first weekend in august.

its a dodge wc-12 (wc-weapons carrier)

in the plans, putting 3 12" subs in, giving it a custom paintjob and some of those lowenhart 30" wheels.

yeah right. gonna keep it all original, but i do have to get a new bench seat and i figure ill pick up a winch or two and put em on the front and back.

major thing right now is to get the brakes working. new master cylinder, new wheel cylinders and probably have to get new pads; get the rotors turned.

these pics are of the pickup version, mine is a flatbed with removable wood sides.

no clue what its going to cost, i know that the wheel cylinders are $34 apiece, front lines are $22 and rear lines are $18. ill have to rebuild the master cylinder or get a new one, too.

only other thing left to do is get some new tires for it, i think mine is a dual wheel setup in the back. probably $$$ unless i find some good used ones

it should do fine as it is, max speed is around 55 (so the vin plate says). which brings me to my next objective: lets peg this bitch!

im halfway interested in dynoing it just to see what it'll do.

anyone into these trucks? i was wondering if the US issued a winch with some of these bad boys. id rather go all original rather than have a big shiny warn winch sticking off the front of it.
