Soon as I get this pay-pal crapp sorted out, U know I'm getting one. From me asking about this, to ya'll getting it done... damn that was fast. Had I gotten pics to you sooner, I'm sure you could have had quite a few sold already.

Also, any plans for uppers anytime soon?

*Edit*
BTW, looks damn good. :bigthumb:

For everyone who is asking about different colored couplers...
We had a feeling that people would want options here, but seeing as how this is just the lower piping and isn't visible from anywhere but under the car we didn't think it would be a very big deal. That said, we are going to check into getting different colors, mainly because we are going to build an upper pipe set and feel that it should be an option at that point. They are higher priced though, so be prepared.

I've seen Carl's welding in person -- it's first rate. Count me in for one.

Will we have our choice of colors on the silicone hoses? :)

Thanks from myself and Carl. He is a damn fine welder. I just hope to be as good at some point in the not so far away future.

Nice work & a great price. Do you plan on fab'ng the same in 2.25" or 2.50"? Isn't the stock lower pipe 2.25"?

Thanks! The intercooler and the turbo are both 2 inch, so this is a perfect match. I don't see any gain from making them larger than 2 inch as it would get choked back down at the intercooler. Also, it would require very expensive transition couplers.

When you make a set in 2.25 or 2.5 let me know.

If I didn't answer that above...Is there a specific reason you want the larger piping? Maybe for reasons like turboa7mgte's below?

seeing that my spearco is 2.5 I dunno if I would want to go smaller piping diamater.

Can you make that in 2.5? and what would you want for it?
I would buy the 2" but i would have to find a 90% elbow that goes from 2" to 2.5" to adapt to my spearco.

Looks nice though.... props for making us some lower cost stuff for the MKIII

Thanks, Tim! If you wanted to you're close enough that you could come down for the day and we could whip some up special, just for you! I think we could eliminate the need for the elbow by making the bend using piping, then just a coupler to the i/c.

Thanks, Matt! No worries, your set is waiting for you. We are planning on doing the upper piping, I just need time to get the 91 into the shop and start fabbing.

You all need to give Matt here a big pat on the back for getting us going on this. :bigthumb: We've talked about doing it for quite a while but it kept getting put on the back burner. Matt was in immediate need for a lower pipe kit and gave us the motivation we needed to get it done. Now that we've done it we're plenty motivated to finish it out with an upper set too!

I want to say thank you too all that have offered kind words! It is truly appreciated!!!

We've been working on getting a handfull of things done for the MKIII lately and have finished this up today. We have a couple of other things that will be available soon aside from the GM trans kit that many of you already know about. As more products become available I'll add them to the list. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

The Speed-Source lower intercooler pipe kit replaces the stock rubber hoses and aluminum elbow on MKIII Supra turbo cars. The rubber hoses fail over time, and are expensive to replace at the dealer. The pipe is fabricated in 2 inch O.D. 18 gauge steel tubing, and finished in textured paint. The tubing is mandrel bent for a consistent inner diameter, and is held in position for TIG welding by a precision fixture. A rubber isolator mounts to the frame to provide support for the pipe. Three layer silicone couplers are furnished for the turbo to pipe, and pipe to intercooler connections. High quality stainless worm-drive clamps are provided for these connections. The ends of the pipe have a roll-formed groove to retain the hose couplers even at high boost pressures.

Hi oneandgone,

Looks sharp, I like it.

I have one quick question. I have the SS aluminum upper intercooler pipe with the HKS SSQV attached to it. Will your piping for the lower part of the car (lower intercooler piping) mate up to the SS upper intercooler piping with the HKS SSQV with out difficulty?

Cheers,

Mike Nikolai

Thanks Mike! This piping is going to attach to the turbo, then to the inlet on the intercooler. It sounds like the piping you have already will be coming off the outlet of the intercooler and ending at the throttle body. If that's the case, then yes, this piping will work.

too much, loki. you're out.

i highly suggest this! especially if your lower hoses are getting old... toyota wants waaay too much for them and made me really justify asking "how much?" before ordering anything.... put it this way: this whole kit is much cheaper than the one hose from toyota that connects to the intercooler.
just looking at this, makes me want it. if i could find a reasonably priced spearco, i'd be goin for it. but, i'm going custom piping on a fmic.

and lol @ the "isolator"
i was lookin at the pic and was like "wtf is that? is that a knock sensor?"
lol
nice quality!

Loki, shipping to Canada won't be a problem. We've just ordered some boxes specifically for these kits, once they're here I can give you an accurate cost. If you're in a big hurry I can dig up a box and get you a cost from it.

Ebugatty, I think we can send it global EMS without it costing too much or taking very long. Let me do some checking into it.

yea, shipping overseas would be very interesting. USPS is quite inexpensive, i.e. unless you are exceeding their max. package size. an online calculator can be found at http://ircalc.usps.gov .
I would take one or maybe two sets.
thanks for checking :)

To prospective buyers from outside the US: I will have shipping costs tomorrow.

Thanks, Quick and Ken!

Carl is needing me to take the front bumper off the 91 I have there, so right now I'm holding up the show. Once I get the time to do that Carl should start rolling again. It could be a bit though, as you know I'm incredibly busy.

88boostr, Grant here, a ton of things got shipped today, and all ordered pipes were with the shipment. I don't have a tracking # for you though as I didn't do the shipping, Carl rarely visits the boards as he's too busy with other things.

Shipping costs outside of the US...

France, $30

Germany, $25

Canada, $20 by air, it's barely cheaper by ground which takes considerably longer, so it's worth the extra couple bucks.
