Hi, I'm a retired engineer and have started working on MKIII Supra's as a hobby! My son has a 89 N/A 5spd. We had to replace the motor. Rod went out the oil pan and the guy just wanted to dump it. We put a JDM motor in it and new steering rack. Car has about 307,000 on it. Before I knew it I had "collected" eight more with various problems. I'm now on engine build up #4 and continue to learn alittle more each day. I am an electronic engineer with some mechanical knownledge. I'm amazed at the level of electronic's in a car this old. I'm in sunny Tucson,Az and up to my ears in anything MKIII.

Welcome to supramania. I too am an electrical engineer and a full time compulsive liar. I got my degree back during the Carter administration so I've forgotten most of what I knew. Actually, I don't have a degree in electrical engineering, but I do own a supra. Welcome to the forums and thanks for saving a few supras from the crushers.
