Well do to some unforeseen medical probs with the kiddos (braces for both I found out today) OUCH!!! In the wallet. So my build up now is to shoot for 350hp so now the idea is to go with probe pistons (yes I have read the thread on them). Eagle rods and clevet bearings for the low end of the engine. Does this sound like a good combo for 350hp with stock turbo. Have 550 injectors lex Msf, 3in ic with 2.5 piping and 255 fuel pump. What else will I need? I have a neo, aem boost controller and gerddy turbo timer. Can I make 350hp with all this?

What turbo you planning on using? I know it's within the reaches of a 57-trim CT. You'll probably want an AFPR and wideband, but otherwise you've got the fuel to support it. Bottom end should hold up fine as long as everything's measured and in spec :)

Stock turbo. And yes I have a wide band. The motor I going to th machine shop tomorrow to make sure it's all up to spec. So o will need a afpr?

Stock ct26, 350whp? I don't think the stock turbo can do it and if it can come close, its going to be a ticking time bomb

stock turbo could do it if you can control fuel properly, but it would be easier on an upgraded CT. also, no need for forged pistons and rods for only 350rwhp, stock stuff will be fine, unless you plan for more power down the road.

I was thinking of mabe going with the t61. Since this is all going to be a trial and error project to me. Trying to do all this on a 2 grand budget. Plus I'm sure I will be doing it all over again around this time next year.

To my mind your way overbuilding the bottom, not that this is a bad thing to be honest. But for the power goals of 350 the rods are completely un-nessecary. Even the pistons are a bit over. But if you have loftier power goals for the future then your doing it right by worrying about it now.

I reliably ran in the mid 400 range for many years with a mostly stock bottom end and only JE pistons as a upgrade. I was however running a much larger turbo.

330 rwhp should be whitin reach with a 57-trim, IC, MAF, downpipe divorced and a 3" exhaust line, boost controller, 550cc injector and a widebad
