NEW o2 SENSOR and now I'm getting code 21

bought a new o2 sensor from advance autoparts. **never order anything complex from them, simple stuff is easy*

anyways, got the new o2 sensor after 2 weeks of non-sense. just the other day the CEL came on. ran diagnostic and got code 21.

i check the cable and it ended up touching the turbo. melted some of the sheething, but not the wires. Can it be, that the heat did damage on the inside of the wires w/o anything noticable on the outside?

i tried to get an o2 sensor from autozone it was also a bosch and it only had one wire???

yeah, i heard some of them have 2 wires adn can be adapted to the oem, but the oem one has 3 wires.

they have universal ones. but the problem i have is that i got the o2 sensor it was good for a week and then i get a code yesterday. the protective loom was singd but i don't if that messed with the o2 sensor. b/c the wire had no visible damage on it.
