New Muffler

Its an Blitz catback and Blitz NUR muffler.

I dont really care about the outside noise as much as the inside exhaust resonance. Does the blitz NUR have alot of it?

I have a magnaflow on right now thats ear poping... Tried the 50 series from flow too.. still too much resonance.. Can you get a 3 inch system to be quiet? lol

It's on a 2JZ-GE. I'm not sure on the difference between the sound of the 2j vs the 7m, but you should be able to get a general idea of what it would sound like

Magnaflow is FINE, just need a resonator...

If you look at the exhausts that flow well but are quite and don't drone, they all have resonators.

Its quiet until u get on it. very deep echo, turbo spools real nice

I do and no, it doesn't drone. While the Blitz Nur Spec may have a higher db level than other aftermarket systems, I wouldn't classify it loud, especially with the silencer in. With the silencer out, the exhaust note is healthy, but not obnoxious or loud. I've yet to have any one of my friends tell me my Nur Spec is loud.

I get sick of hearing this from people who have never even had this system on their car.

Been around tons of other supras and if someone else's NUR is droning loud enough I can hear it in MY car over MY exhaust something is wrong...

i have a DC Sports muffler(its basically a big glasspack 3" strait through), and i love it...but cops dont...so just today i supplemented it with a 3" moroso spiral flow.

killed the highway drone, still kinda loud, but much better.

borla mufflers sound auwsome in my opinion but im also quite fond of the dynomax race magnum its a close 2nd. greedy is nice to all 3 are deep and throaty

Yes, but it's not that simple. Different types of resonators will have different affects on flow. The most common type used is a glass pack type. Mine is roughly 18 inches long. It is a straight through design but there are holes in the inner pipe which allow the exhaust to enter into the tightly packed glass material and absorb vibration and sound energy. This type maintains high exhaust flow while still addressing the resonance problem.
