Howdy, all. I'm new to the MK3 world. Though I've been lurking here for a couple years, I finally decided to post.
I have always loved these cars and grew up wanting one since I was a wee one (I'm 28 now). My first car was an 89 Celica GTS that I loved very much. The Celica was a brilliant car, but it always made me want its big brother Supra. Every time I decided the time was right to jump into a new car, I either couldn't find one in good condition, or the ones that were, were overpriced. Now that I'm older, wiser (at least I tell myself that), and more financially stable, I finally jumped on one.
Toward the end of last year, I found a pristine red 91 turbo in great shape. I purchased it for 5k from the husband of a colleague of mine. It had 110,000 on the clock and was treated very well during its life. He was the 2nd owner. It's never seen a winter in it's life, and has absolutely 0 rust.
The only issues on the car was a leaking rear-main seal which I've already fixed, and the darn heater doesn't work (the AC works just fine, though). Still haven't figured out why the heat won't work.
The Supra will serve as my weekend cruiser. My daily driver and winter car is an 01 MR2 Spyder. Although I love the Spyder with all my heart, every once in a while I'd get a craving for something with a bit more torque, and more comfortable seats.
Well, that's my story! Look forward to meeting everyone here, and possibly attending some Supra meet n' greets.
