Hi, my name is Ste (Stephen), 17 years old, from the UK, currently driving a Toyota Starlet.

I've always loved Supras, mostly MKIV's but I have more recently started to like MKIII's. I was playing around on insurance quote websites a few weeks ago and found out that when I'm 21 I can buy and insure a MKIII Supra for the same price I've bought and insured my Starlet for! But obviously tax and fuel is going to be more expensive...

Anyway, I joined up here to learn a bit more about Supras, I know a few of the common faults such as BHG on 7M's, but basically just want to find out what the cars are really like, and wether I should look into buying one in the future. (I will go for a MKIV if I have the money, but MKIII's are ALOT cheaper to buy).

oh and I have some pics of my Starlet if anyone wants me to post them up...

Welcome Stephen. Pictures are always welcome'd and appreciated, but statements about settleing for a MKIII.......not so much.

You either like MKIII's or you don't. It's not really a car that will grow on you. I happen to love them. Good luck either way.

I like MKIII's and MKIV's equally, it's just a matter of having the money to buy a MKIV, or being able to find a good condition MKIII, I don't know what it's like in the USA, but over here in England most MKIII's are either N/A, automatic, or have high milage, it's rare to come accross a good low milage turbo manual. :(
Either way, it's not going to be for a good 4 years yet and anything could happen in between.

Will post up pics of the Starlet tommorow. :)
