hey everyone.

:] I'm new to the whole supra scene here checking out buying a Mk3. Wanted to know if there's anything I should be looking for. I've owned a high maintenance vehicle and wanted to know what the maintenance is like on the Mk3, do a lot of stuff go out prematurely? Looking at a 87 Supra, something hard top not TTop and something with 5 Speed. What price range and mileage should I be looking for? I owned a 90' Nissan 300ZX Non-Turbo and it was high maintenance but was too heavy and wasn't 5 speed and had a bunch of things wrong with it. Any suggestions on where I should go and what I should look for and what not would be helpful! Thanks!

a decent hg will probably run over $100.00
Are you looking into buying a used MKIII turbo? Maybe someone here on the forums who lives by you can help with finding a decent one near you.
There are a lot of things that you need to consider when buying a used Supra.
You have to take into account the age of the car, certain hoses and vac lines might be trashed. If there is play in the turbo, did the previous owner drive the shit out of the car.Make a list of things you will need to replace(like a hg,turbo, motor, rad) and things that can wait(like interior, cup holders, dome lights)
It will be difficult to find a good one, just don't settle on one that wil cost you an arm and a leg in repairs later.
