BOOO! The junkyard I went to today freaking sucked, I found 7x MKII Supra wheels I was gonna pick up for my GTS (3x extras for spares I'm weird like that), but the junkyard wanted $50 EACH wheel, $200 for a set of supras with dead tires on it = FAIL! Sadly only 1 MKIII Supra out there that I saw and it was n/a auto, so another FAIL there.

On a plus note, I found a pretty clean AE86 SR5 hatch back that I may get for a new shell for my SR5, or just sell mine and rebuild this one to keep the SR5 & GTS tandem going. Also found a 87 Corolla GTS with power windows (pretty rare on 86's), shame it was missing the rear end (GTS rear would be nice upgrade for SR5). ALSO found a 1975 Celica sitting out there with no motor/tranny in pretty good shape for being in the midwest for 33-34 years, no MAJOR rust just some surface specks, what is it with 70's cars that made them get surface rust but not nearly so much rust HOLES, I'm guessing it's thickness of the steel.

Lemme know if anyone wants me to look for anything for them, the junkyards prices can be kinda high, but if I go out there with a couple bills in cash and a list of parts I'm sure I can get a slight discount. Also going to be hitting up some more junkyards in my area soon to see what I can find.

On a side note, my Cressida's exhaust fell off today at the downpipe (not where it joins to the cat, but where it goes 2-1). Scheduled to goto muffler shop Monday, the guy is custom building the whole system but thinks stock is 1 7/8" ID pipe, what size should I get it made, and any suggestions on it would be nice.

I am SERIOUSLY thinking about getting the 75 and restoring it with a more modern engine, I dunno how large the bay is for an inline 6, maybe a 4age or 3sgte, 3VZ (or whatever the newer truck motor is), maybe even commit genocide and throw a SR20 under the hood. Also saw atleast 2 1.8 Corollas, so maybe take the 3TC out of the corolla and throw it in the Celica to re-create a TA22.

Hmm, got it in there without much modification to the chassis too. Looks nice, I'd be curious to what the weight balance is on there. Plus if I got this 75 I wouldn't be racing it at all, it'd be much more of a show car to me.

But right now I want to get the exhaust done on the Cressida, get the GTS drivable again, and then get the LSD and 5spd done to the Cressi and I'll be set for now. Worst thing about having a 1 car garage and enough driveway for 2 cars on top of that. 4 cars with room for 3 sucks.

Well got the Cressida back from the Mexi-Muffler in town, $250 for a 2.5" straight back from the join on the downpipe. Sounds good, kinda rattlely over 4K, but pretty quite even at 6K, much better than just the cherry bomb that was on it. Car seems to breathe MUCH better now, from 20mph I can mash the gas and break traction on the rear. Now to get the 5spd swap in and LSD installed....

Decided against getting the 75 Celica, or any of the other junkyard finds, I just don't have the room for any more cars. I need to sell off my 84 SR5. Talking my brother and my parents into letting me use part of their farm to build a pole barn on, so I can kinda set up a shop for my cars. Biggest problem is their farm is around 20 miles from my house and down a 1/4 mile gravel driveway, so a pretty decent drive just to go work on my cars, but I figure if I build a big enough one, then I can house 5-7 cars in it, and let my brother/parents use 1-2 bays for their vehicles. Also dunno how much I would want to house a really nice ride in their and then have to drive it out on the gravel.

I was looking more into a fixed structure. I've found 36x48x12 for a little less than $9K. OR I can just buy the lumber and slowly build it up myself for quite a bit less. I want something that I can fit ATLEAST 8 cars in, and have room for a lift and a pit. I figure if I can find some land in town, then I can use it as my personal garage and maybe build a couple bay "stalls" and rent them out to other people.

Ok, I see. U think u can fit 8 cars, lift and a pit in a 36x48x12 garage??? Thats twice the size of my old one and I could only fit 2 cars with room to work on them, 3 if I clime out the window on the car!!!!

Average car is around 5-6 wide, 15-18 feet long, so 6x8 would be 40ft, say 2-3 feet between cars, would put it down to 6 cars per side, 5 if one bay has a 2 post claw lift. With the building being 36ft wide, I could put them 2 deep in there, so easily SHOULD be able to house atleast 8, but the dimensions I was talking about was just an idea of the size, I may go larger. I have around 10 acres of land to use if I go with my land at my parents farm.

I'll see if I can whip something out in fireworks sometime soon. Do you have AIM? Kinda pointless to keep flooding my post with us just talking back and forth lol.
