Hi, yet another newb here. I've been on the forum for almost a year just lurking, but figured I'd introduce myself. I live in Lafayette, IN and drive an 1989 Cressida. Not really a Supra, but same driveline for the most part. I also own a 1985 Corolla GTS and an 84 Corolla SR5.

Currently my Cressida is pretty much bone stock, I have the MKIII Sawblade rims on it for more traction (Cressida's got 15x6 rims, Supras got 16x7), and need to stop being lazy and install my MKIII LSD.

(Late Welcoming...) But, Welcome! From another Indiana local. :)

You have any plans in particular for the Cressida?
Or, any of your toys for that matter?

I'd love to see some pic's. :)

The GTS is currently awaiting some body welding (gotta love Indiana cars) to re-attach the rear strut towers to the rest of the car lol. After that I've got Brembo/Bradi blanks all the way around, Hawk HPS pads, Goodridge brake lines and some good fluid going into it, new OEM exhaust manifold while I try to track down a good 4-2-1 header. Also going to have a rear brace fabbed up for it and other minor stuff to make it my track "bitch" for this season. The Cressida is on the back burner (kinda nice to keep ONE drivable car), but am looking to rip the motor out and swap in atleast a 2jz-ge to start with. I'm also going to some junkyards tomorrow to see if I can find any other 86 shells and maybe some 5sp parts for the Cress.

I have pics of all 3 rides up on indianadrifting.com (Just lazy to post them on here right now).

I was waiting for that picture, here's 1 picture of each car, the 86's aren't in that great of shape, but they were cheap and midwestern cars.

Didn't I just throw up a pic of the Cressi? Well here's some more from right BEFORE I got it (been lazy, and don't want to take 1/2 snow covered pics).

The duct-taped intake has been repaired, as has the saggy driver's side corner light, it's also sitting on MKIII Sawblades now (wouldn't mind a set of MKIII 5spokes). Trying to keep it LOOKING stock, while having room for a larger set of front brakes to be able to stop it better especially after motor swap.

Looks good. You should got the 16 inch mk4 na rims.

Honestly, have no clue what those look like. If it was anything relating to one of my 86's I'd know just about every part, but the cressida and supra stuff I still fumble with.

Those are the 5spokes I was talking about, I thought they came on later yeared MKIII's (89-92 or something). Another guy here in town has those on his MKIII Turbo, and I guess there were gunmetal ones that came on JZA70's in Japan. Dunno though. Right now I don't wanna dump more money on rims for the Cressida, as I'd rather spend money on acquiring 5speed parts or a motor swap.

what are the widths on the MKIII and the MKIV's? cuz with 7in wide fronts I rub a little and with the 225/50R16's I'm about 1/4" outside of the fenders. (remember Cressidas got different front suspension, no double wishbone for us :-()

Get spacers!!!!!!!!

Guess you missed the bit about me sitting pretty flush with the fenders as is, spacers would make it look GHETTOOO with the tires sticking off too far. Of course after I torch this set of tires I'm going down to 205/50r16 to try to get it more square, the 225's look a little bloated for me.

Once it warms up I'll get some fresh pics with the new tires/rim setup. Going out to the Junkyard today to see what I can find as far as MKIII parts for my 5spd. Maybe find me some MKII rims for the GTS too. (OEM GTS rims are 5.5" wide, kinda suck for traction in snow).
