Altima/Sentras are FAST!

I was at a light after going to a JDM Carls Jr. (pictures later) on my way to work and I noticed a black altima/sentra beside me. I took 2 looks at the wheels because I thought it was 4 lug. I was waiting for the light to turn green and while I waited I played with the pedal, he thought that I wanted to race so when the light hit green BAM! he went off, with all this black smoke coming out of his dual exhaust. I caught him at the next light and gave him a thumbs up...but he just looked away and sped off when the light turned green...fucking DICK!:nono: :nono: anyways...my moms matrix isnt that great.

the 02+ is a fun car, and looks pretty with some 18in wheels as well, ask me how i know :)

the 2.5s isnt the fastest thing in the world, but isnt too bad. the 3.5se is a bit faster. you get a chance to see if it had 2 exhaust outlets, or a single muffler on the passenger side.

oh yeah, and the altima se-r is a nice little FWD grocery getter, can run a 13.8 with full exhaust.

the sentra ser specv has the engine from the altima 2.5s

~ 180 horse and ~170 ft/lbs and has nissans vvti on it. nice peppy motor, scares people when i merge onto the highway when im doing 90 by the time they are doing 60.

no no, (late model) base Sentras have 1.8L's, a 2.0 SR20DE in the SE, and a 2.5 in the S-ER Spec-V (NOT V-spec)...

Altimas have the same 2.5 as base, and a 3.5L VQ35DE (same as the Maxima, Quest, 350Z, G35, FX35, M35, Murano.........yeah...)..

the SE-R Altimas have a few more ponies than the "normal" V6's, but it's nothing special...

no, all the engine needs is a better chassis...

saying the Sentra SE-R has a Skyline motor is like saying the Corolla S has a 2JZ-GTE..

they are good at what they are designed for. good commuter cars and grocery getters. there have been times when the little bit of pep kept me from getting hurt. and put a car or two behind me. im 1-1, beat a vr6 jetta, lost to a 1.8t gti with some work.

A turbo would help, but if the transmission's the same as that of which is coupled up with the 98 200sx SeR then that's not near all it needs. If I'm not mistaken, that tranny can only handle around 200 to the wheels. Then again, 200hp in a car that light isn't half bad.
