Well, I took a pay cut but I think its worth it. I went from 3rd shift labor @ a warehouse putting mostly box's of food on pallets driving around on a jack all night for $13.00 an hour to a computer/server assembly job 2nd shift. I only make $11.50 to start but they should be bumping me up to $12 within 90 days which is OK I guess. The best part about it is I don't DREAD going to work anymore, the people I work with seem nice, the work is pretty fun or at least bare-able, and its laid back. Mostly everyone plays video games, which is also a plus, and I've pretty much converted 2 people to get PSPs within 2 days of working there. There is a lot more room for advancement at this place then my other job, and I enjoy it much more, so I'm sure in the end it will pay off.
We mostly build computers for medical places, or servers for companies so it's not like your standard home computer... Like yesterday I built a Dual Xeon processor Server with 3 gigs of ram
.
Anyway, just thought I'd share the good news, nice to be back on the shift of the living.
