Just outta curiosity, how long was the motor sitting?
How did you pull and install the engine? Usual SMOP(pull the harness through the fire wall, leaving it all connected to the engine)?
Is there gas in the tank(dumb question, but it happens...)?
With the key on, is the CEL lit?

*UPDATE*
Ok, so this is another classic case of stupidity... My line coming from the tank/pump to the banjo fitting on the fuel filter was completely kinked! Thanks a lot JJ for the procedure on how to check for adequate fuel pressure, it is what prompted me to check all my connections! (found none when the Fuel Plusation Dampner was opened, I guess after cranking for so long the first time I tried to start it, the fuel rail had some pressure, just not enough) Once again you have come through when I was about to give up... CRE thanks for your help troubleshooting my system. Despite me testing most possible scenarios instead of going straight to the basics, I did learn just a bit more about EFI systems in general, and hope to learn much more.
Many thanks,

Too little/no fuel pressure, huh? Now why didn't I ask about that? :3d_frown:

So there's fuel in the fuel rail? What's the pressure?

Well, at least you got it... ;)

Stupidity, checking the basics....appears you learned something more valuable than technical stuff ;)

So the injectors were fine. You know, a set of noid lights or stethoscope would have saved you a lot of grief. Both are cheap. Same with a spark tester, vacuum, and fuel pressure gage. Generally speaking the more diagnostic gear one owns the less time, money, frustration, and mistakes are going to be involved when working on the car. With less the opposite is usually true. Pry a few bucks outta your wallet and buy some ;)

Stethoscope's ROCK!!! And if you keep them VERY clean you may be able to convince your partner that "it's close" enough and let you play doctor. Just remember, motor oil is NOT a good lubricant in all situations.
