Whats up guys, name is Jonathan and I currently live in San Francisco,CA. I am in the process of finishing up my 1jz swap in my 1985 Toyota Cressida. Had the car since early 07 and it has been my daily cruiser, but eventually it was time for an upgrade. Car has been down for about 8+ months, but it should be running by next month. no this is not one of those lame ass cut spring sitting on sportmax cressidas. I take my time to do needed research, and I like to do things right the first time around. No cut corners, or half assed work.

I want to increase my knowledge on jzed engines and i knew this would be the ideal place to do so. not to mention a part of me has always contemplated on building an mk3 supra :) oh and the for sale section is a plus too ;)

anyways on with the pics :

these were taken by a really good friend of mines before we started taking the car apart.

Nice Cressida. Should be a blast to drive when your swap is done.

Thanks man, Im super stoked to finally get it back on the road. btw i recognize your board name from ncd. I remember seeing your supra for sale a while back, and i was super tempted to buy it!

Looks good! What kind of power are you expecting to put down?

Thanks bro. as for power, Im not looking for anything too crazy. As long as the motor runs strong Im happy. But if its a number you seek, I would be fine with around 250-270ish based on basic upgrades that i have or plan on doing. I will definitely need to get use to the double in power (compared to stock).

Nice ride :)
I had a 88 Cressida for 9 years and after I sold it, I found out that they were actually considered a "sporty" car.. lol. I always considered it my comfort cruiser...
