Shitty man. Looks and sounds good! With new numbers, hopefully nothing that can't be fixed. 7m bellhousings are a dime a dozen with all the guys going jz nowadays..............

Looks more like a Clutch explosion from failed drive straps, often happens following a missed shift. :(

That's what I figured. Just didn't understand why people were suggesting it was the builders fault.

Maybe true, but usually with a massive failure like that it's hard to pinpoint where the failure started. Still, I'd like to see more pics of the pieces and know who made the clutch.

If it's a strap failure, well, score another point for multiplate setups as they don't run them...

ok gonna try to answer everybody with this post. first off im alright, got pretty bruised up had a nice bruise on my foot and was a lil out of it after getting hit with an airbag at 90+mph, kept it out of the wall though. we have narrowed it down to the fly wheel because we backed the remaing 3 that were still holding a peice on whith our fingers. i took a peice of the flywheel to sean (x-man) and he said it didnt even look like the guy had turned the flywheel like he was spost to, or if he did he did it wrong. this wouldnt be the first thing we found that he left loose. no i havent said anything to him, thought about getting a lawyer but where we had done more work to it didnt see anyway it would hold up so i didnt even try, even though he was the last one to have the trany off. i was runnin a stage 3 sprung 6-puck from act with what i thought was a re-surffaced flywheel.

Wow, glad you didn't get hurt any worse than you did. That looks pretty serious. Its a shame, cuz those were some really good numbers. Good luck with the rebuild.

thanks, it had a lot more in it i just didnt have the fuel to push it for more. the goal is 700+ once all is said and done. i acutally just purchased a 86.5 na supra hardtop for 400 bucks ima use it to replace all the stuff behind the dash that got broke, and brake lines and mounts and all this other stuff

Man, that is just terrible. It could've been disastrous for your lower limbs. I'm glad that you only suffered bruising. Any pics of bodily carnage? ;)

Your poor car! There aren't many of us 91'ers left! How are you going to deal with the firewall and what all got damaged behind the dash?

Keep your chin up...SM is here for moral support! :)
