it really was a wierd dyno.... but mabye its becauses of the random turbo I bought of ebay with the mysterious compressor wheel....

That could explain a lot, I would never buy a turbo off of ebay unless it was proven that it was an actual NAME BRAND turbo and BRAND NEW. I bought an upgraded CT-26 off of ebay from a buyer and never recieved it. That was the worst hassel I've ever had off of ebay. I lost my ass on the refund due the seller not giving my money back, nor responding the the claims dept through ebay. I will never buy something off of ebay again without using paypal (ebay only guarantees up to 200.00, which the turbo cost well over that amount, plus ebay charges 25.00 for the claim being filed. That said, the maximum you can possibly get back is 175.00. Needless to say, my ass was feeling pretty sore after that ordeal.)

Granted there are ppl on this forum who run ebay turbos and are having success with them (I remember seeing someone on here with an XSPOWER turbo). I Also read on another thread that some of the ebay turbos are literally GLUED TOGETHER!

But I digress...

2. Remember this was on a Mustang dyno, and you should adjust up about 15%. That would put him at about 265 at the wheels. That's not great, but not bad for the limited upgrades.

if that's true, then i made 332rwhp and 339rw tq. on the stock turbo at 15psi.

i find that hard to believe. mustang dynos give more "real life" numbers. don't add 15%.

by the way, my dyno was- 289rwhp/295ft lbs. tq.

while this may be true- the only reason most add and subtract numbers is to make it comparable. most people use a dynojet, and often people adjust their numbers to coincide what the dynojet numbers would be as a power comparison.

a closer view of it:

I wanted to dyno it to find out if it was any good. It defently a wierd turbo but it seem to get the job done. It has a wierd 8 blade desing. and the exhaust side is not clipped.

doom26464 i couldnt help but notice, under your name it says your car sounds like a jet, and you live in alberta. When I was out there last year, my car sounded that way too and i lost A LOT of power because of the thin air. Perhaps thats why your dyno numbers are lower than others with the same mods? :icon_surp

hahahah I guess I should change that but I used to have a huge boost look and when I boosted it made a loud jet like noise. but that was a long long time ago...

^^Heh.

As goofy as that is, I know exactly what you're talking about.
When it's one of those boost leaks that's just "barely" enough to leak out, such a small leak, that it makes an EAR PIERCING, high pitch sound under spool. It honestly does sound like a jet, lol.
