First, the reason I'm posting it in tech department is I have a question to ask after I post my new dyno numbers. I will try and scan the dyno pictures when I get back in tonight, but here are my new dyno results.

Max. Torque= 379.1

Max. Power= 406.3

I only did two dyno pulls, because on the second one I saw antifreeze come out of my radiator cap, and since I'm a chicken shit, I didn't do any more pulls. I was also happy with the 406. The first pull was

Max. Torque= 384.2

Max. Power= 392.0

When I post the pictures up, I want someone to tell me if you agree with Blake, the man tuning it. He saids that he thinks my wastegate is getting stuck open. He showed me a dyno pull from another supra, and it looked different than mine. He said mine looked like a naturally aspirated dyno, cause it was a steady pull all the way to 406. Most turbo cars he said should climb faster and then level off. Mine never quit pulling, and it took a while to get there.
I don't have a bc on my car right now, and I was boosting up to 18 psi. That's another reason I didn't do another pull. That is more boost than I felt comfortable with. I went by the shop that built my turbo and he agreed with Blake. He thinks the wastegate is getting stuck open also. My wastegate is supposed to be set at 14 psi. I don't really know that much about turbos, but I know that's what he told me when I had it built.....................lol

Edit: I just put the dyno sheets on here. The first one is a comparison of now and the one I did back in March. You can see how the same turbo runs totally different. The other three are from today.

This is SH's wife he has a Garrett TO4E.

What's the hotside a/r and trim? Even a P trim .68/.70 will get full boost around or before 4500 rpm. Torque will peak there and then slowly drop.

Kwnate, I would agree with both of your statements. But for the serious one, yes,.......... my wife does bring out the studs.......J.K.

I think it is cracked open, not necessarily stuck open. I don't know if that makes sense or not. I remember driving it the way it was back in March. When it spooled it would throw you in the back seat. It doesn't do that now. It's just a steady pull. You never actually feel the turbo KICK in. I'm happy with my hp numbers, but I wish it felt stronger. It's really hard to explain without everyone of you driving it. I will gladly give you my address if you would like to come take it for a spin and offer me a few suggestions.

Clifton, I have a Garrett to4e with o trim .50..........I guess that's how you would put it. Brian at BNR turbos told me I had a 50 trim with o trim turbine. I'm not a turbo expert nor do I play one on T.V............lol

Maybe my wastegate isn't getting stuck open, because I'm getting boost. I was boosting 18 psi while I dynod. It just seems to take a while to get there. Still waiting for any suggestions.

unbolt your down pipe and take a gander. only way to scratch that off the list right? i would think it might be possible to creep. depending on what position it got stuck in.

I did that about a month ago. Didn't see anything that looked out of place. I used my compressor to open and close the wastegate. I was told I may have hurt the diaphram on the wastegate by putting too much air to it. Don't know if that's possible, but that's what I was told. I'm going to take it off and have it checked anyways.

Can't really tell you. My compressor will hold 130 psi. I only plugged it up for a few seconds so it didn't have but maybe 25 psi in it. I only pulled the trigger for real short bursts to open and close the wastegate. I doubt I hurt it, but maybe something is wrong that can be fixed fairly easily if I take the turbo off and let Brian work on it. He's pretty good with turbos.

I would say it was your clutch starting to slip, but then you'd prolly smell that. I remember when I was running my CT26 50trim wheel I used to get wheelspin in second, and a little in third. After a couple of passes down the dragstrip the wheelspin in third went away. Then the wheelspin in second gear slowly started going away. My stock clutch wasn't holding the little power that I was making. But like I said, I smelled my clutch while it was slipping.

I come from a land down under
SH: Seems a little soft on the spool, my guess for what it's worth is the WG spring has lost some tension and is unseating earlier.

An EBC would help out with response here!

My clutch is only two weeks old, and I haven't been getting on it hard at all. I have raced it on the track four passes, and two dyno pulls, but when I'm on the street I haven't barked second at all. I'm just hoping that it's in the wastegate somewheres. I hate taking the turbo off, driving one hour and then not finding something wrong with it.
