I purchased CPT Furious's VPC and SAFC-II and installed them on my car. I had been posting in the "fastest stock ct" Thread for my 13.36 at 105 run. Anyway, after I got everything hooked up and running, I took the car to the local Dynojet and made 8 pulls while bumping up the boost and trying to flatten out my fuel curve. I ended up with a best of 356 Hp and 393 Tq

I thought that this was a little high for a stock ct, so maybe when my turbo was rebuilt a slightly bigger wheel was put in. looks like a stock wheel. My mods are walbro, 550's, FPR set at 50psi, HKS vpc and SAFC-II, hard pipes, stainless braided fuel lines, Titan big mouth downpipe and test pipe, Blitz NUR, MBC.

The turbo is brand new only 100 miles of breakin on it, the motor is a lower milage JDM with black cam covers (painted?) I shimmed the hell out of the wastegate and had my MBC turned all the way. I pegged my boost gauge which only goes to 20 psi

I dynoed 310hp with out the vpc with the lex afm and less boost.

What do we think here? Possible with stock ct? I am going to hit the 1/4 mile this coming weekend and I know it will get into the 12's with the 46 more HP.

50 psi of fp isnt that a little high...and yea i doubt thats a stock ct 26....57 ct 26's get numbers like that....

but nice dyno numbers anyways...good luck at the track

I'm sure it's possible, I dyno'd 309hp w/ a stock CT, full 3" exhaust, K&N cone and a SAFC. I'm sure with the supporting fuel mods, 356 is possible. Not sure if the ct26 can do 20psi though... I peaked at about 11.5psi before fuel cut.

Possibly a stock CT-26. Lets see a syno sheet.

There's probably a few more things done here and there, but that's most of it. The goal was 400 on the stock CT, now we'll be happy with 350..

I'm just curious about why my horsepower and torque are so different. My horsepower is 40 horses higher, but my torque is fourty pounds less. I only ran my turbo at 12.5 psi, and you ran over twenty. I guess my Garrett to4e won't make as much torque because my best torque numbers were 379 iirc. Below is a dyno done today of my car. I posted video of it in the video section.

Great numbers though.............lol

jay-

it depends on the turbo. yours has a bigger turbine side and will hold more torque thru the powerband and make peak later where a ct will usually peak early and fall off.

good numbers on the dyno! a pic would def tell if its upgraded or not

It's right on because you got the turbo to actually make boost. The reason stock CTs never make big power is because most of them can only hit 15psi or so and trickle down to even less by redline. I bet you its a stock CT, you just rigged up the actuator real good. My car made 397 ft lbs of torque and only 302 hp 4 years ago because I was down to 11psi by redline. If I knew then what I knew now I would be doing what you are doing. Change the oil frequently. The turbo probably wont last long like that.

def. a stock CT. most people dyno 300ish around 12 psi....the fact that you only made 356 @ 20 psi should give you (and everyone else) an indicator as to what the compressor is doing @ that level- just blowing heat.

So I take it that everything worked okay for you! Nice numbers! :)

Yes, everything seams to be working just fine. Only took 10 min to hook it up. Don't know why I waited a week to do it.

Robbo185 - I run 50 psi because I am pulling some fuell out with the SAFC-II

I don't have a scanner, but I will try to post the dyno sheet. Hope to run a 12.7 to 12.9 with this set up this weekend. Then we can all talk about another stock ct into the 12's again ( if it is)

50psi is wicked high for fuel pressure, and dr. jonez beat me to it. for example, i did 289rwhp 295tq on a stock CT with lots of shaftplay, and several chipped impeller blades, boost creeping from 10 to about 14.5psi.

i'm sure with a new or rebuilt ct you could easily hit those numbers, but i'd be scared as hell to push a stock CT that hard. lots of hot air= higher intake temps= more likely to detonate. do you have a stock intercooler? i wouldn't be pushing that turbo that hard, or you're most likely going to find yourself rebuilding a motor with melted pistons...

Thanks everyone for the kind comments,

Rajunz- Like 97TSiawd said, thay is the fuel pressure I run

Shaeff- Yes I am on the stock intercooler, but on the dyno I was running with 114 leaded Cam 2

About the fuel pressure - I had a funny spike in the a/f curve at 3500-4000 rpm that I was able to smooth out eaiser by upping the fuel pressure and then pulling signal from the 4200 to 6000 range.

Drjonez- I have mounted up a set of Hooiser quick time pro's 16x26x 10.00
Should hook up no problem.

just curious, how much fuel are you pulling on the safc?

IIRC, I am pulling 3-5% from 4800 to 5000, 7% from 5000 to 5400 and 11% from 5400 to 6000. I still need to pull about 5 to 6% more from the big end, but there is not much use since I rarely ever rev the motor past 5500.

Yep, that's a stocker. Most people don't run them that high (usualy not over 15), that's why you usualy only see ct26 dyno sheets in the 300-320 range.
