New carpet set doesn't fit

You could try Fryer's Auto Upolstery. I have heard of people using them before and they seem pretty reputable. I had them send me some samples in the mail so I could get an exact color match with my interior. I have not purchased anything from them yet though. ACC carpet is the best around. And wow MkIII carpet is like twice the cost of MKII carpet.

well come to find out the carpet I bought IS ACC!!! He sells ACC carpet. Just got off the phone with him and said that once in a while this will happen, just the molds and stuff don't turn out right. However, if it's been cut they won't take it back. So I'm F*!%ed basically. He said he'd sell me a passnger area for a real good price... not sure if it's worth going down this road again or if I should just call the Dealer.

update: dealer doesn't sell carpet anymore for the MK3's. Just floor mats.

So, I can A- buy a passenger area from the same guy for the "good" price and try it, B- buy it from
1AAuto.com or C- Take the car to an upholstery shop and let them F'k with it.

Shop's gonna charge you near the same to just replace it. Might make a little $$ back on it, if you sell to a member who has the time/patience/resources to use...

Why not just do the job yourselves? I'm going to try this out with a friend of mine. Slow ass process, but we believe we can get it to work.

take the carper all out take it to a carwash spray it with simple green scrub it then power wash it let it dry really good (hang it overnight) then paint it with carpet paint they sell it at Autozone, Pepboys, advance autoparts and WALMART.... again let it dry overnight , BIG diffrence will cost you about 15.00 to do it and it looks Like NEW.....
OEM carpet.......Free
Simple green......2.95 bottle
carwash............1.25 for 5 min
Carpet Paint.......10.00+/- give ot take for 3 cans
not bad for less than 20.00
