im in the process of doing a BHG.
Is the BHG bad enough to mess up the bearings. The previous owner noticed temp going up and stop the car.refilled water and drove about 5-10 mins slowly back to work. After he noticed it was a BHG he towed it home. Oil is milky but the BHG isnt that bad. Should i just do a full rebuild to be on the safe side/might even go 1jz.
if its safe do i need to resurface the block for MHG.
the longblock was a replacement motor and has been in the car for less than 5 months only. also noticed the circles i have on the pics. the HG isnt that bad around the cylinders but has holes from heat on it. What causes that ?
i only wiped it down with a cloth but didnt cleaned the block surfaces or pistons yet.
i plan on running a 1.4mm tms/gates/arp studs if i dont need a rebuild.
any suggestions will be appreciated.
thanks tony
