You sure can fit it back there. Remove the rear cargo area(basically backhalf the rear)

A 7m is half the length of a 914, You can't mount an inline 6 in there, srsly

I'm sure you could get a V8 with some odd transaxle in there

My uncle's 89 944 turbo(my previous car) is way faster than his 91 supra.

Unless his 91 is an NA, I don't see how that's possible.

Turbo Auto, In after 89, the 944 wasn't anything to joke with. They are rather fast

That's the exception that proves the rule.

On the note of the 944 - I have yet to see one that wasn't a moneypit. I mean like real estate level moneypit.

I hope you checked and it does not have the rust 914's are known for.
That being said, with a 6, it's a very well balanced car, kinda like a big go cart.

SCREW THE 7M, 1J, OR 2J... the engine design that's closes is the flat 4's from subaru.... and they make kits to make them nearly 100% bolt in!!!
