Very nice.
I'd like to hear about the paint products you used.
Thanks!
Most of the cast iron & steel items, such as calipers, brackets and tubing, were black zinc plated. The brake pins, bolts, banjos and other small miscellaneous parts were yellow zinc plated (barreled). I used a local company down here in Florida; their price seemed fair. All the black parts in the picture below plus some others (pulleys, dipstick tubing, coil bracket, p.s. reservoir & bracket, etc etc) for $150 (2 lots...$75/lot).
The screws in yellow were free because the company I work for uses them for plating as well and I included them with one of the batches we sent out. The price is also $75 per lot, expensive if you send a few screws, but since they use a barrel to plate them, you can probably fit all the screws in the car for that much money. We send about 3000 3/8" x 2" bolts and still pay that amount.
The valve covers were wrinkle powder coated in red with the striped brushed; I paid $130 for both. I am waiting on a quote for the upped/lower intake, 3000 pipe and water outlet in black wrinkle powder coat (hopefully will have that done in the next couple of weeks). If I find an extra throttle body, CPS and ISC valve will send those as well...
I painted some parts myself using AutoZone hi-temp engine primer and enamel. They came out pretty good, and had no choice since I was worried heat or chemicals from other processes would ruin them. Some of the parts are the igniters, relays, p/s pump and starter (both while being rebuilt), etc.
I anodized a few parts but not worth mentioning...
I'll keep posting as I go.:icon_bigg
