Never seen this before.

My car has a factory sticker on the body inside inside the gas lid that saids on a yellow sticker, "92 octane or higher unleaded fuel" also. I took it off when I repainted the car.

As far as I know 91 octane is the highest available by any of the "brand name" gasoline here in Southern Calif.

What brand of 93 octane are you guys buying...and does anyone know why we don't have it in SoCal?

I only run 93 or higher in my car and I don't care what anybody thinks but I know my car runs better with 93 and I only put in shell,bp,exxon,or sanoco.You can call me dumb all you want but this is my belife.I mean I will get gas some were esle if I need to and using 91 isnt the worst thing in the world but this is what I go by.I just think our cars need it cause they are turbo charged and lessit prevents detention.I maybe a poor supra owner but I never cheap out on keeping my car runing better

That's what I'm beginning to wonder. My blue 87T did not have that sticker. I'm running 87 now and my car is running just fine. Stock boost though. No pinging and it still idles so smooth I can't feel it running. When I get a MBC and turn up the boost I'll run super in it but for now I'm just Sunday driving enjoying the ride.

Are you sure about that?

My manual says 92+. The sticker inside the fuel door says 92+. And I thought there was a sticker on the interior somewhere (not on the gauge cover plastic though) that said 92+.

I'm pretty sure. My 90, and 87's say that.

My 89' has the sticker on the gauge cluster above the gas gauge, as well as the yellow sticker on the inside of the fuel door.

93 octane? is that like people normally see at lower elevations or is it like only available at certain locations like it is here
