well time has come for me to sell my 86.5, its just been too long since driving it, and too much work and money put into it. I wanted to know what you guys think i could get for it? I have been told amounts by a few people on here and locally here in DFW, but I truly have no idea as to its value. Id moreover trust what you guys have to say about its value than anything else. I really hate to part with it after all the work, but its time to move on and get something I can drive moreso than work on. this month it will be getting a fresh coat of paint, and the windshield will be replaced with a non-cracked one before sale. heres a list of stuff done to it. I might be forgetting some of the little things, but this is the majority of the big stuff. i put this in here cuz im pretty sure theres no feeler threads in the FS section.

and the car will be fully tuned here in the next week or two, just waitin on the PnP harness from aaron

i'd guess around 12,500???

seeing as thats how much most Singled 1J clean cars go for.

Start it off at 14K on multiple sites and see what happens.

but that'd be my guess on price.

nice car btw

I'd source all of the misc missing interior parts, identify & fix all the squeeks & rattles inside the car, clean it up & start off around 16K, especially if you paint it again & get a good quality job done on it.

I was offered what I wanted for my car a few months ago, no I wish I would have taken it. I feel your pain about the amount of time working on it vs. the amount of time driving it....

we alll get there.. I've been there before.. in the end thought its hard to get anything better for the money for the most part.. so I'm back, lol..

It wiill be hard to find a buyer w/ the money willing to spend that kind of coin on the car.. Be patient though. Could always part out the car to recover most of your invested money, if all else fails.

That is possibly one of the cleanest MKIIIs I have ever seen. I hope that mine one day reaches the perfection of that. If I had to sell it, I wouldn't settle for a dime less than $15,000.

Honestly though, how much is left other than the paint, windshield and tune? I would wait untill everything is done, and see if I fell in love with the car again. If not, I would try and sell it at Texas 08, and sell it to someone who will truely appreciate the car, an enthusiast.

BTW, where did you get your seats?
