I've check here, on Cygnus, the TSRM, and still can't find out for certain what vacuum line attaches at the tube I've circled in the attached diagram. No diagram I can find anywhere shows what attaches there. I'm thinking it's the vacuum line from the bottom side of the ISC, but more knowledgeable individuals than I will have to confirm this. Thanks...

Okay, I have to ask... how the HELL did you know where that line came from? Or if you prefer, how the HELL did you know to look under the fuel injection diagrams for that miserable POS? Just a matter of experience and knowing where the gaps were on the vacuum diagram?

In any case, thanks for the quick assist. :icon_bigg

Now, for round 2, where the heck do you mount the VSV's for the egr and fpu? The lines I've figured out, but just unsure where they should be mounted under the intake. Just wherever I can find a free bolt?

yeah sperience ;) :D

the vsv's attach to the under side of the intake manifold with the vacuum hardline assembly rail. There is probably a pic around here somewhere, I'll look later.

edit: I take that back. Originally the fuel vsv mounts way up under on the head or block but if you've taken it off it's easier just to mount it to the intake manifold. The egr vsv does mount on the intake manifold at the back.

Excellent! We're on a roll now. And as long as I'm already bugging you... :evil2:

The water bypass hose under the ISC... where does it tie into a water line at? Can't seem to locate anywhere to connect it up at.

This is now officially a nightmare. I really don't see how this car was running at all. The water bypass line off the ISC was hooked into the vacuum system, and I still can't figure out some of what the shop which finished the install did with various parts which I can't even find on the engine.

Time to call it a night.... :3d_frown:

Many thanks. I'm just so sick of this crap right now I'm about to start throwing things. The shop I had this thing was well recommended, and treated me right while it was in there, right up until the end I guess.

As it turns out they had lost a number of important parts (and a "thank you" here to everyone who helped me replace them) and to get it running just basically threw everything together whether it was right or not. I've got vacuum lines blocked off with bolts, vacuum lines tied into water lines (seriously), vacuum lines attached to absolutely nothing on one end, and now apparently some missing hard lines as well.

I know, I know, welcome to the world of Supra's. We've all got to be closet machochists. :aigo:

If this is the case, you should post about this "shop" in the Shop Reviews section of the site to save someone the grief.

There's no excuse for anyone charging money for work to do that to a customer.

Consider it done. This new guy they put on my car to finish it out was very nice and easy to work with but obviously more interested in getting it running and out of their shop than he was in getting it right. Hopefully when I take it back the boss will understand the issues and I'll be able to insist that someone else fix these problems.

Thanks my friend. Sorry for pestering you so much this afternoon and evening. I've resigned myself to pulling the tb and stuff off so that I can get to everything I need to get to around there. I'm still looking for the egr vsv wiring, it's hiding around there somewhere.

One thing I'll be interested to find out is what the shop did with that coolant connection up under the manifold. Probably plugged it off somehow, as I know there's no hose or anything coming out from that region right now.

One last question if anyone can stand another one from me tonight... the slide-on "muffler-type" piece on the end of the VSV. How vital is it for that piece to be there?
