Full NA->T swaps are a breeze! Just get a 7mgte, a turbo engine harness/ecu from the same year as your car and put them together, you'll have to get a turbo tach and get an aftermarket boost gauge, but the rest is pretty much the same. Although you still have an oil cooler/IC hoses/exhaust to run and such, but nothing serious. A few little sensors here and there, but it's not complicated, by any means. It'll be just like pulling the NA out and dropping it back in, with a bit more power. :icon_bigg
You could pretty easily buy a 7mgte with BHG and completely rebuild it, do the swap, and still be under your budget, especially if you can pull off a 60% savings.
Don't be too "proud" to go turbo, I just dumped about $1200 into my 82 for .4 seconds. Talk about crappy... :icon_conf

Up next for me is n20 if I sell my mkIII
