Odd... I know a lot of vette guys that run em. I have noticed that Kumho's kick ass when new, but once they start wearing down to the harder core rubber they grip for shit. Also, once they get old they seem to get harder too...

They go have the MX's as well, but don't drive in the rain with em.

The BFG B-force's are VERY good, but where out of my pricerange...

Yes they get very hard after about 5k miles, but even when new I remember taking the bridge that Goes from Davis BLVD that merges into 121 and my car would slide doing about 80mph. I tried the same turn when I got my SPT's on the front and a little faster and it held fine even with almost bald SPT's in the rear. I just hope the BFG's don't crap out on me, last time I had about 3k miles on a set of KDW's I paid like $180 a piece for and the side wall disintegrated and the tread just came off, that's when I went to the Nitto DR's. Any ways I can't wait to get my wheels finally put on tomorrow. 17x10 Black with machined lip should look great.

x2 on the Falken 452's, best of the affordable non R tires.

+1 from me too.

The Derezza DZ101's are not to bad too. I had some at the track in front and they were pretty good for not being to expensive.

Bor, Thanks for replying. I got the FNOR1-C wheels 17x10 +35 and I'm going to go with the 275/40/17, I should be fine right? I saw the same wheels on HAMSMKIII old 2 tone car and they looked good. Do you think the 315/35 will fit ok? I had a set for a little while on MK4 TT wheels with a 1/4 spacer and they just fit without doing and fender rolling. However these new wheels are going to stick out a little further because of the offset and the size of wheel. I'd probably have to roll the fenders??

Thanks

You might not have to roll with a 275. As long as your car doesn't get down passed the fender no roll is needed. I am not too sure on how a 315 would fit though, since I never went with that fat a tire before.

I think that I will be just fine with the 275 but the 315 I think that I would have to roll. Can't wait for tomorrow!!!

I went and got the 275/40/17 BFG Gforce Sports, so far they are a little wider than the Kumho SPT and have a better tread pattern. I really like the way they look especially on my new 17x10 FNOr1-C wheels. I don't think I would have any problem at all sticking the 315 on these wheels, they will just stick out a little. I'll post some pics later today.
