Need some opinions of my rod bearing.....

I bought my 1jz motor off a member that got it from tigerjapanese. I decided to take the head off to see what type of condition it was in and I wasnt happy with the way it looked so I decided to rebuild it.

Well I got to the #3 rod bearing and the side of it facing the crank pulley was worn down to the copper. But the wear is only on the rod part of the bearing not the cap bearing. Rod bearings 4-6 had minor wear facing the crank pulley but not nearly as bad. I was wondering what to make of this and get some opinions. Thanks.

Detonation could of cause that. Are those the top bearings on the rod or the bottom ones on the cap?

Sorry, I forgot to write that. That is the top(rod) bearing. The bottom(cap) bearing looks fine.

sounds like crankwalk, just a guess.

^^Thats what I thought but now that I think of it from what soapra was saying and that its only on the top half of the bearing, it sound more like detonation. Its just bothers me that its only on one side of the bearing.

Detonation wouldn't cause it to wear on one side(left to right). I would say bent rod if it was just 1, but being that theres slight wear on 4-6 as well, i'm not sure on that.

I've seen wear patterns like that when I used to rev my 7M above 8000.

I put it down to the block moving around and crank flex.
