need some insight on whether or not to buy this supra

Ok so ive been talking to this guy that has a 89 n/a qn this is what he stated in his post
Supra targo top MK3 its my project it has
SALVAGED title due to theft (got the
original 7MGTE and dash boared stolen ).
Has tags till next month oct 2013 ..

..The car was a gift from my dad it was on
his back yard for around 4 years, it did not
run when i got it had busted fender from
the right front tire coming off because the
luggs came off ., its registered under my
name i have pink in hand serious buyers
only.. I also have sum misc parts for the
car aswell as ARP head studs and
raconpinion performance bushings and
extra moldings.will include them withte
right price (i am keeping my stereo)

7MGE I6 rwd with a 5speed transmission
no grinds or pop outs good 5speed trans
,new clutch kit, water pump ,timing belt
,alternator belt and power steering belt
and tensioner, New aluminum radiator
,radiator hoses new engine mounts all
JDM (japan) parts fresh tranny synthetic
oil, full 2" 1/2 inch full exhaust with a
stainless steal tilt dual muffler intalled at
mikes performance mufflers . Sounds nice
may be a bit loud but i like it like that. Car
has a touch screen tv/dvd stereo but has
oem speakers has electric windows and
power mirrors .it has electric fan shroud
and and 2 extra fans , Car is sitting on KYB
GR2 full suspension ,Car needs sum TLC .
Its good on gas for a 6 cylinder but i Lost
interest on project want something else..

car needs seats replaced or sum seat
covers and dash board is cracked interior
need work everything is there but seats
are leather so the craked and are ripped ,
needs a bit of body work and a paint job
and it will look clean.. it needs breaks and
the break master cylinder(i am use to it i
drive it like this dnt bother me) car was
trown for around 4 years on my dads back
yard .cluster works great every thing lights
up and works correctly. Water hose riped
did not over heat but i was on my way
home work fan switch messed up on me
and and fans were off did not overheat but
started blowing smoke .turns out its a
hose that mest up thats why there was
smoke .

Sounds like a parts car, nothing more.
Find a nice clean mostly original car to start with. Keep up with the regular maintence and modify it when you can. Because no matter how much work you do to this one, it will still have a salvage title.

My first supra was salvaged title and was in rough shape I spent way too much money before deciding to buy a clean shell to start over with you will be way happier in the end

The guy wants 2gs for it an its in really bad shape so i said fuxk that found a guy who had a 89 targa top an is a turbo only bad its from az an the Trans is going out but he's throwing in a rebuild kit an also a valve body upgrade for 1250 an it's a clean title

look at it like this, find a clean shell and make that your biggest concern, odds are everything else will be changed in time.

You could get the car and replace everthing on the car. Spend some serious $$ for a Dream. The best part is having one for years and "never getting the joy of driving the supra" Start with a clean unmodded car. They come up for sale on the fourms and get laughed at for the asking price. Or a better idea is to buy a Modded car that 2 or 3 other owners could not get to run right. Trust me a good cheap paint job is $2500 Then you want nicer trim, Way more $$$ Then the list goes on and on and on. Good luck.
