Need some help, with a sensor?

im not too sure what this sensor is for, i tryed to find it in my haynes manual, well i accidently broke it off leaning on it cleaning out my spark plug area of stupid leaves, but yeaaaa

i gotta fix it, whats the sensor for etc, so i know if its safe to drive or not with out it connected.

It looks like you circled the cold start injector time switch...hard to tell on your pic. If that is it, the car will run fine without it. Might be a little hard to start though depending on OAT/coolant temp.
FYI - the connectors are different for pre-'89 and '89+ cars.

new one is a dealer only part (autozone or orilleys dont carry them) and they now have two coolant temp ranges. Should be $80-120 depending on which one you get

ohhh snap, i have a 92, yea i accidently broke it when i was like,. laying on the motor basicly fixing the small L heater/coolant hose that blew apart and left me sitting, but yea haha,

yea without that sensor your cold start injector is not going to know when to turn on/off. If you don't want to go to the dealer I believe I have one laying around for a 89+.

Yup that is the cold start switch. I may have one for you though. I have chopped harnesses, and I don't think i have cut that off I keep them around

For this exact reason

Let me know if you want me to check, it is a two wire connector.
