Need some help with a few Blow off valve questions.

As some of you may know I'm trying to finish up my 2jz-gte vvti swap in my 1989 MK3 Supra.
Every thing is almost ready to rock but the other day I had a DUUURRRRR moment and relized I have 2 Blow off valves now....:aigo:

The front mount intercooler kit I have came with a HKS bov on the pipe right before the throttle body.
I don't know if I should find a pipe with out the bov mounted to it and just go with the stock bov, or if there is some kind of kit I can not
find to remove the stock bov?

Has any one came across this problem? If so what did you do?

i think you can just remove and bypass the stock bov.

If you just un hook all the vac lines to it it should stay closed. Thats what i did on my 1j and it held up fine to ~15 psi.

Or try and find a block off plate. Thought someone made some for the 2j.

The BoV needs the pressure signal to it to help it stay closed under boost, why not run both?

I had no Idea I could run 2 at once like that.

Sweet. I didin't know you could run two like that, and I didn't know if having a stock one and a after market one would cause problems or not. Thanks for the help.

that's what i was thinkin, lol

I highly doubt it would cause any issues... if anything it should work more effectively.

Run both of them. Depending on boost level, the worst case scenario would be two different pressure relief sounds.

just out of curiosity, why would u need two aftermarket bov's? I was under the impression that you usually had one, n removed the stock bypass valve..

yerp... I figure a tial woulda cut it... but if you want recirc. that's a different story....

Run both. I ran the stock + a Tial 50mm on my 1jz and it all worked fine. Ultimately itd be nice to bypass the stock one and remove it with a block off plate, but its not necessary unless you are trying to boost over 15psi or so.
