Ok, your motherboard is a Compaq 07D0h ... if you can find the drivers for that board then that should take care of the chipset and everything else on board. Try to find an updated version of those drivers. I've been trying...but I haven't had any luck yet...but I'll keep lookin.

Ok, so there's a Compaq 6621AU and an HP 6621. HP bought Compaq so their under the same company, but they offer two different sets of drivers. The link above is for the Compaq one.

Try to remove the capture card and then update all of the drivers and see if that helps. Good luck :thumbup:

Well I have no idea...maybe they use the same drivers. I tried searching for info on both the 6621nz and the 6552nz or whatever it was and couldn't find crap on either one. Contact HP/Compaq and see if they can get you updated drivers? :dunno:

This is kind of why I don't the idea of buyin a pc...it's like a circus trying to first find out what you have and then trying to get support for it. :aigo:

Hmm...on the .pdf file it has it marked as "6600xx" family of pc's...so maybe you can get away with using the AU's drivers. I don't know, I wish compaq or hp would have shown the differences in the two somewhere.

blue screen of death is RAM errors. srry.
ntfs = harddrive errors.
calling compaq = brain errors from listening to idiots.

ntfs.sys file errors mean there might be a problem reading and writing to NTFS partitions ...not neccessarily the harddrive...might be a driver issue...might be a problem with the bus...might be a problem with the IDE controller...or yes might be a problem with the haddrive's disks

99% of the problems people have from their comp, is spy/adware, takes up alot of resorced and fragments the HD. if it wasnt doing this before and u havent installed any new drivers more than likely its from crap on ur comp.

O and just FYI, comp. engineering student at TTU(not texas)

Although most problems are from crap people get/put on their computers, this particular problem seems to be hardware/driver related.

She already said she did memory checks and is still getting BSODs... Most BSOD are either memory or driver related.

While I think your post was funny (and mostly accurate too), I don't think it was particularly helpful to this particular problem.

I'm in computer science at OSU, currently on an internship at IBM.

ahh someone who caught the joke, but like i said before, if all of a sudden its having problems, and she hasnt messed with/installed new drivers or new updates, then something else is the problem or has cause the problem.
drivers dont just screw up randomly, unless its windows.:biglaugh:

FSU is awesome...it has it's moments, but it's mainly Tallahassee that gets on your nerves. People cannot drive around here and there are a lot of students here that come from money so they're not afraid to beat up their brand new Benz's cause they know it'll get replaced.

Also, there's pretty much nothing in a 2 hour radius in any direction out from Tallahassee so to get away for a bit you kind of have to drive far. One of my roommates is Computer Science here...I don't know if OSU is like some other schools but the Computer Science department is seperate from teh College of Engineering. It's over on the main campus about 5 miles away from the CoE but it's pretty nice. The professors for Computer Science actually speak english, haha. I've got 2 more CS classes over there and I'll de done with it!

Edit: Oh I didn't see the part about your girlfriend in meteorology. At FSU Meteorology and CS share the same buildings. There's like 2 or 3 I think...they're all right next to each other.

LOL had to reread what i posted, srry that u work for one of those compains.
yes i said sorry, because they are all money hungry scams.
99% of the people who work for these compaines have no clue about comps.
that is a fact. they all go by the text book. prank calls to these places are all over the net. and they are funny as hell.
fuck dell/compaq/hp ect. they are all freakin worthless.
cept for dells monitors FTW.
