need some clarifacation

Hey peeps. Im still fighting with this fuel dump/ smoking problem.
But I have run into two things.
First. I have a code 51. What I want to know is will this flash if you have bypassed the NSS and if so how do you clarify that it is not actually the tps code?
Second. I have a first gen maft but I was looking at it today snd noticed it says maf base/ wot then spark base/wot. I hav ed a buddy that just bought a brand new maft and his is very different than mine. Do I have the wrong unit? I will post up pics but input on this would be very appreciated.

First, if the code remains when the TPS harness pins are shorted the wiring would have to be bad. Second, the most accurate way to determine the cause of 51 is to measure each of the three inputs on the ECU to find which is, literally, at fault
