I will try to make this as specific as possible on what I am trying to accomplish. I am trying to create a unique movie room and I have the exact idea (am open to suggestions) I am just not sure where/what to get what I am envisioning for this DIY project.

I have a living room that has the dimensions of approximately 18X15, however on the "main" wall that I am thinking will be utilized as the location of my audio and video equipment is about 9 feet wide. The following will be located on that wall. 52" LCD TV (have not decided if it will be left on stand or wall mounted). 2 floor standing speakers, and one or two audio video peers for the reset of my AV equipment (receiver, HTPC, 360, Xbox).

The reason that only about 9 feet of the wall is available on the preferred side is I have a travertine fireplace which creates a corner, so the wall is not completely flat/usable.

Now that I have given a basic layout here is what I am trying to do. I want some type of bar that will curve/cut out from the wall that will be utilized, needs to come out at least 3 or 4 feet and I need to install some kind of track on the bar itself, everything must be located "inside" the bar area. Next I want to do the old style crushed movie curtains to put on the bar so that it covers up all of the equipment listed above. Lastly and I apologize if I am using the wrong term/word, but I want actuators that will be on the track connected to the curtains so I can push a button/flip a switch and the curtains will open or close depending on button pressed/switch flipped. All in all I want to be able to cover up all of my electronics with nice curtains so that it is like a true theater.

The information I am looking for is the specifics, like are there better alternatives to purchasing and bending regular pipe, where can I purchase actuators, what do I need to do to get the actuators to function with a wall switch, information like that.

If any other information is needed/requested I will make sure it is given promptly.

Not wanting to use a projector, walls a are bit too low, about 8 feet or so, am using a 52" Samsung LCD TV.

Included picture of room and what I am thinking is the best layout

No movie room is complete W/O a Scarface movie poster framed

I have ordered most of my posters, and have light boxes for each (Thanks Fox Searchlight). Here is my current list of posters that will be put up. Also anybody have suggestions on painting the room, it is currently basic white, have been tempted to go black for a better darkness level in the room.

-Comedy - High Fidelity
-Action - Way of The Gun
-Crime - American Gangster
-Drama - L.A. Confidential
-Animated - Nightmare Before Christmas

-Horror - Resident Evil (Even if it is borderline horror/action/adventure)
-Classic - Vertigo
-Sci-Fi - Matrix
-Comic Book - Punisher

i have:
Sin City
Casablanca
Breakfast at tiffanys
X files (for some reason i wana get rid of it)
no horror films
i wouldn't mind scarface i just feel godfather was better
no comedy, would like to get Sideways though
no animated but nightmere would be nice or thudercats

2 of my projector rooms ceilings were only 8ft tall. but really ccording to your picture it wouldn't be an ideal location unless you had some thick curtains for the sliding doors outside. i really think you have the only good spot since its such a narrow room and people need some place to sit ehe just have to consider chairs now

Where would I go about finding the correct pipe or whatever that could be utilized for this, as well as the what kind of track, and actuators?

just an fyi.. I do this as sidebusiness.

8 feet ceilings is plenty for a projector. Get the right screen material and you are set.

52 inch lcd will put the closest row at 78 inches (6.5 feet away) but at least you will have space for speakers on the side.

Wall mounting with the wires running inwall. Make damn sure it is CL2 rated wiring though!
