what coax cable did people use to do this? I rewired it with rg6 and I seem to still have heatsoaking or something in the wiring, phantom knocks on the safc after excessive driving.
thanks

i just went to radio shack and bought a roll of shielded wire
only shielded wire they had available at the time was something like this
http://www.sesystems.com/West-Penn-...=google&utm_medium=Base&utm_campaign=Products

instead of having 1 wire that is shielded i have 2 wires and then the shield
so what i did was use both wires for 1 knock sensor
then did the back knock sensor with another length of wire
grounded my shielded wires on to a (fresh metal)clean ground on drivers side strut tower

did this about 6 months ago(7,000 miles)

still holding up great with no code 52

my back knock sensor plug was busted...so i just used a femal spade connector
but last night i put on a new connector
never had problems from the spade connector though

Pictures would help a lot of people understand.

Just about to do this on my car and just one thing to clear up. Running a turbo here so I have two sensors to wire, ground both of them right? I'm going to ground at ECU just making sure I should ground both wires.

the stock sencores is grounded to the ecu it's best to ground there easy way to test this is pull back the sheeting and then do a beep test ei or restaince test you can even move the harness around in the intake manifold whail testing

if it works put a new plug on and call it a day, if the plug is busted a female spade connector crimped on the end will do

alot of people treat this like the Hubble space shuttle when it really is not

plus the only one that is sheilded all the way to the plug is the starter aka the farther back one
