Need Help With a New Engine

Well My 91 Supra Bone stock engine locked up on me due to loss oil pressure so i assume that its dead it a n/a engine so here is my question what is my best bet to do to this engine fix buy same engine or upgrade what would be a cost way of doing this effective

there is no cost effective way in your case....any used 7m you buy will need a rebuild anyway....so pull your motor and have a machinist look at it to see if it's beyond repair...either way you need a motor..

It's not about finding a 2J it's about how much do you have to spend and what kind of power are you looking for and are your talking about a n/a 2j or a 2jgte?I'm not trying to be rude but how much money do you have to play around with or are you just living the dream life like your sig LOL I love that sig btw

A bone stock 2j will cost more then a built 7m to swap in. It will be slower and have XXXX thousands of miles on it where as the 7m will be 0 miles.

2jz is not umm, lets just say 7m is the way to go if you have NFI.

it does come down to how much cash he has. the choices are simple spend less to rebuild the 7m that will peak at about 500hp unless you really go crazy with it. then the daily reliability goes through the drain. or go with a 2jz that for the price of a built 7m will leave you with a stock 2jz. but it will have the potential to run 600hp daily. yet all that relies on if the motor you get is a good. you could get a pile of shit 2jz with rusted cylinders and toasted crank then you have a really expensive paper weight that will cost you a gang load to rebuild. unless your doing a majority of the work yourself because if you are planning on paying someone to do all the work then i hope you have a good 7-10g's either way if your goal is close to 500hp. the little thing add up quick. you don't just buy the 2jz then poof you have a 2jz installed and ready to go. thats just a small portion of the price after you pay you first bill for labor and all the associated parts that go with the swap. let alone the addition price for upgrades to get you to that 500hp.

really if you have to ask you do have NFI and either need to learn more by READING or buy a different car.

I'll fix your 7M for the girl on the right in your sig.:naughty: Seriously though it would be better just to buy another 7M and rebuild it. If you can do most of the assembly yourself it won't be too expensive and the motor will be reliable.
