Bump. Does anyone have a picture of where the blue wire hooks up?

It seems that my blue wire already goes into the connector it should be going into (the one on the right side of the image that has three arrows labeled 7m and one 1jz).

Pictures of wiring anyone?

I will see what I can do, when I get home tonight....

Also, I have the A/C manifold gauge set (includes vacuum reading). I've been busy as hell, but was going to go get the vacuum pump[ again from Autozone, pull some vacuum, then re-fill.

Anyone up for coming out to The Colony for a refill/R134-Retrofit? Bring some regular R134, since I already have a couple of other cans with the dye and seal lubricant stuff in it.

I don't have much PAG oil left either... Maybe for just 1 more car.

Also, I need to borrow a 2J-TT ECU to see if that fixes my sputtering issue (if someone would be so kind to bring one of their spares).

I strongly suggest never using r134a on our systems. It can seriously fuck shit up! You must use freon if you can locate it or go with a good alternative. I have been using a product called duracool. It is from Canada and doesn't eat your system up. Because the old system used mineral oils and the new ones don't, you can get big holes in your ac system if you use r134a. The duracool R12a stuff ROCKS!! i have used it for years. It costs about 12 dollars a lb equivalent, but it is actually more efficient then r12 or r134a. I spent months researching it years ago, and found the duracool stuff, it is the best i could find. I have actually been stocking up on it, i bought 2 cases a few months back, so i wont have to worry about it for a while. I also picked up some of their sealants.

...Kewl with any options, since I have not re-filled yet. Replaced a bunch of o-rings, lines, dryer/receiver, etc. TRD87T let me borrow a pack of misc. A/C o-rings. Easy enough to take care of. I can go R134, or even some of the other alternatives, but have set myself up with the the right tools to re-do almost any time.

Ya'll come on out... Maybe Saturday? At the very least, get cool enough to survive the Summer.

Are you familiar with the wiring, Elvis? Unfortunately I will be out of town Saturday (leaving early morning, returning late that night).

^^Kinda... SupraStanger and I had a thread going (maybe here or on SF 2JZ section). TRD87T came over and we wired mine up. Went to refill, but I had some type of blockage and ended up replacing the expansion valve, o-rings, and a line. Re-tried to fill on my own, but think I had one of my manifold hoses turned around and did not end up finishing. Ready to now.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread or get off-topic, but I dont want to make another A/C thread when this one is going. But what actually turns the compressor on and off? Mine seems to run all the time regardless of the temp. setting in cabin.

I'm gonna bump this one up with a quick question, just to make sure I'm doing it right.

The connector I want to run the EA2 pin 9 blue wire to is this one right?

And I don't do anything to this one?

Thanks in advance,
Jon

Doesn't seem right... Lemme go check.

This is for the 1jz Elvis. Just for what it's worth. IDK if it is different or the same as the 2jz.

Edit: OP already knows, but for the benefit of others. Pin 9 from EA2 connects to the first connector (the one under the A/C relay) and replaces the blue wire on that plug. So, blue wire from EA2 connects to plug in first picture, when you remove blue wire from the plug in first picture.

There's a small, spade-type connection near that connector on the body harness. The 7M compressor had 1 wire that went to it. I think that's what we used. I have not touched the A/C in awhile and TRD87T may come by on Wednesday to help me make sure I've got it all skrait.

Did not get to check for that wire, 'cause I am still messing with my ISC, code 14, and the sputtering issue.
