Need Help Failed emission badly.

Ok let me start off by stating the mods during the test. test was done today

Bic un re-routed DDP
3inch high flow cat
RSR GTII
I left my Tial bov on just not hooked up, use the stock BOV and stock air box.

On a note when I put my stock bov on it sounds funny and when i drove the car home. If I gas some gas and let it off (putting the car in neutral) the car would want to DIE.

I have my smog test due on the 24th of may. So yeah. Help needed

If I translated your numbers correctly (please use courier font next time), you are running horribly rich
15mph A/F=10.7 and 25mph A/F=11.1

Any emission tech worth his salt can you help you diagnose why.

9% CO. Nice. I can only imagine how long he's been driving it like that. This is why emissions laws exist and why MKIIIs were long ago put in the Test Only Category in Cali.

mine passed clean as possible, not since I ran right outta money once the engine was together. best of luck tho.

o2 sensor


It is either bad, or the wiring to it is cracked/brittle.

Do a voltage test AT the ecu (ox) to see if the ecu is reading o2 feedback.

I just hope its a simple O2 sensor I need to replace.

I don't know what you're talking about. You asked for help, so I tried to offer my assistance. Then you claim that you "don't have enough time" to repair the problems. Well, if that's the case, then stop wasting our time and TAKE IT TO A SHOP.
