I like the BBS. Probably a little easier to find fitments for the MK3 too.

I was thinking the Auto, from my previous reply, but the BBS black look pretty hot too, I still prefer the Autos though, for your car at least. But truthfully the third pic, black BBS rims, looks more old school, imo.

This is a classic german rim:

Borbet A 17 x 10

Mine are ET14 and they stick out quite a lot so lowering might not be possible. When that is said I talked to someone else who has the same rims and he has his mkIII is lowered 2½ inches without any rubbing.
