well the story is i bought a car with a small engine fire, i replaced everything and the car sits on my driveway.

The driveway is kinda on a slope like the front of the car is up, if you know what i m talking about and also the front is up on jacks.
Question is, my car is turning and doesn't want to start. I have a year old gas in the car, or i think almost 2 years old full tank of gas.

it is the old car not making the car start or is it the angle the car sits on or both ??

i m thinking about bringing the car down from the jacks and put on a flat street and try starting it.

Check to see if you are getting fuel... one easy way is to loosen the Banjo on the fuel rail, and then quickly turn the key to see if there is any fuel there. And of course if you are not... then you might have a problem with the pump... start with the pumps electrical (fuse etc.).

To see if there is a spark just unplug one of the spark plug wires from the coil pack and look for an ark... don't take it out to fare because then it won't spark.

If there is no spark... then you need to look at your ignition system, starting with your CPS wiring... CPS its self and then igniter and the rest of the wiring.

And Gas can go bad... if that is the case then there is a nut under the fuel tank, just dump that out and get your self a gallon of fresh stuff or i think you could buy some gas stabilizer... but i don't know if that works after the gas has gone bad.

And of course Check the battery LOL... sometimes its the simple things.

What Quin said \/\/\/ If you have a small amount it could be simply not picking it up.

Well it could theoretically affect it if you have almost no gas, depending on where the pick up is (never looked inside an MkIII tank, couldn't tell you), but I'd put my money on the two year old gas.

well everything is almost new on the car, i just talked to my friend, i don't quiet have all the vaccum lines connected and i don't have the upper ic pipes connected to 3000 pipe, that might be the cause of it. im ganna connect all the hoses tomorrow and see if that helps.

Ok, my car is still not starting. I added new fuel in the tank and car still not starting. I took out the cold start plug out and there is no fuel in the fuel rail. I don't hear my fuel pump or anything but the car is cranking but doesn't start since there is no fuel going in.
What should i do ??? how can i check whats gone bad ???

the car has 65000 miles, it's been sitting for a year, it had a small fire and i replaced everything in the engine bay. New harness, sensors, used fuel rail and used injectors.

Couple of my friends say it might be the fuel relay or might be the fuel pump. How do i check what's really bad ???

any help would be awesome.. thanks!

btw all the fuses look gud. nothing wrong with them

i m going to check the relay today, friend told me to check the fuel pump by jumping it with a wire in diagnosis plug by Fp and B+ something, jump those and see if it turns on. I was going to try that right now to see if it works.
