I need to purchase the mentioned above...
Now which Platinum NGK spark plugs to buy? I searched and saw a lot of part numbers and different types.. Any better than the other? part number would be appreciated! Also, wires part number would be nice :)

I searched for high flow cat and found the following:
http://www.suprasport.com/RT-High-Flow-Metallic-Substrate-Cat_p_54-17.html
http://suprastore.com/higflowcat3d.html
Any advantage one over the other?

Here is my new set up:
ARP head bolts
Titan MHG 2.0 mm
HKS Super Drager exhaust
HKS down pipe
Koyo OEM Radiator
Apexi Air Intake
driftmotion 57 trim Turbo
All above item are purchased BRAND new about 2 weeks ago ;)
HKS SSQV BOV to be purchased next month

The boost will stay at stock levels... maybe 8 psi at highest.

Inputs are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Dont bother with platinums plugs. Just get yourself some NGK-6097 copper plugs.

dito, platinum plugs are a waste of money for our engines. Just use a set of copper plugs, and with the savings buy your GF a ice cream cone:sarcasm:.
If you get sick of changing them, go to FFIM, changing plugs takes less then 10 min. with one.

Ice Cream cone? LOL she already got the ICE :)
Now, I don't want to keep changing the plugs often, that's why I didn't consider Copper or even Iridium because I wasn't sure of the set up and gaping..
What's FFIM?
Anyone uses Platinum or Iridium plugs? There are plenty of options on those, and I'm not sure which is better...I mean look at this list:

Thanks

You can probably search for "spark plugs" and get the info you want...but the suggested here are the Autolites or NGK coppers. :bigthumb:

i like the idea of having fresh plugs in. they're only 2 bucks, and when i ran some Platinum's i didn't really notice any difference at all. other than i was short roughly $80. i think they're $12 a piece. the amount of miles they can take is the only benifit. i did use them for six months and they were consistant.

Should I go Iridium? I heard good feed back on it. And is the 5689 gapped already, or I should gap any Iridium plugs I get?
I would get the copper, but I don't feel like replacing them every 5000 miles or so... Do I sound LAZY? :sarcasm:
Are there any wires better than others?
Are these OK?

Thanks guys, I need to buy these by tomorrow..

OK, get the NGK coppers and you'll be fine for over 10k miles. If you want to waste the money on the Iridium's you can, but Coppers burn better. Gap them to .30, you need to gap the plugs.

There is a vendor on here that sells high flow cats for $129, that has done a great job.

You can always get the NGK plugs and wires at Oreilly's.

Should I go Iridium? Iridiums are great plugs.........for other vehicles! They are not the best plugs for our cars.

DON"T ever try to gap your iridiums. They will be pre-gapped, and if they aren't perfect, you'd be better off leaving them instead of screwing up your expensive plugs trying to gap them.

I would get the copper, but I don't feel like replacing them every 5000 miles or so... Do I sound LAZY? :sarcasm:
Yes....................I hate doing them too, but it's not hard.

Are there any wires better than others? NGK's will serve you fine

Are these OK?
http://www.suprasport.com/NGK-Plug-Wires_p_62-89.htmlThose will be just as fine as the model in the picture
Thanks guys, I need to buy these by tomorrow..

I have heard more people swear by the NGK-6097 than any other. Follow that by any plug in isnms' list, with the iridiums as a last resort. I ran iridiums and thought they were pretty good. Then I saw on here that they weren't the best, I switched to 2330's, and they actually cleared up the slight miss I had.

It's probably a good idea to go ahead and get 1 step colder plugs. Those are denoted by the "7" in the code.(6hotter,5 even hotter).

I've had 6097's (bkr7e) in my car for over 6k miles so far no probs but it seems the bcpr's are the correct plugs..The 3330's bcpr7es are what i would get if I were you. I had to gap my coppers down to .030 because it missed under boost at .032.

With his mods he's fine with a stock heat range...

I personally run platinums cause I hate changing plugs (like with coppers), and iridiums MUST be gapped (but you're told not to, and they break easily) as they are all over the board in their gap out of the box.

The plug wires, well, let's just say I don't like blue and the stock wires have been proven to be excellent. They where also the same price and came with the wire looms while the NGK's don't.

I got my hig flow cat from Raptor Racing and I don't have any complaints...

I would go Platinum, I hate blue wires also, Where can I buy these plugs and wires locally?
Should I go to the dealer? or just buy them on line?
Also, did you pass smog with raptor racing CAT? I can't get to their website..

Do you have an Oreilly's near you? You can get the plugs from them and order some wires as well. Get the cat like Poodles said from Raptor Racing.

There isn't Oreily's in New Jersey.. I also searched the website, couldn't find one near me..
What's raptor racing website?

Do you guys think I should buy NGK V-Power plugs or the G-power?
Are the MSD wires good, I mean with the NGK, not sure if its a good idea mixing 2 brands..

I think I'm just going to go with NGK plugs (BCPR6EPN8 5275) and NGK wires (TX08 9567) Anyway, I still have the cover on my engine, and it won't show the wires..

Poodles- Yea I missed the part about stock boost levels.

Most auto parts stores will carry the wires and plugs. I had to get my plugs from Advanced as they had them in stock.
