had a great time.
first they rigged microphones all ove my car! 3 in the engine bay and 3 by my muffler.
Microphone fun:
the 2 foot long Zepplin microphone (pictured below) was so close to the muffler that i caught it on fire while i was driving. the sound guys standing on the side of the road saw us and told us to pull over immdiatly! HAHAH! the sound guy was PISSED that the rig he set up to hold it in place fell apart from all the movement.
Encounter with a Sheriff:
after he fixed the rig i went to the closest street with a long straight away for some pulls! as soon as i put in the clutch to do a standing burnout on the side of the road a cop pulled up and parked across the street just waiting for me to go. :lol: so we literally waite din my car for him to make the first move. after 3 full mins the cop finally drove by us staring at the incredibly LARGE MIC sticking out of the back of my car. he then proceede on his way. it was enogh to scare me. so i talked the chief sound guy to let me do some blasts in a better location.... THE FREEWAY!!
FREEWAY BLASTS:
yup took the 110 North from the LB Docks to about 10 miles up the highway STILL sporting a HUGE mic on the back of my car! evyerone on the road next to me was like
DYNO:
since my car was running too rich to rev past 4k in nuetral the dyno operator talked the EA sound guys into letting him tune the car before i did the pulls. so EA coughed up0 the $200+ for some dyno time to make my car run ALOT better.
FLAMES AND POPS!:
so afte the 2 hour dyno sound tests, they were now ready for my rev limiter. i warmed one guy how loud it was but he didnt belive me and foudn out the hard way when the first BANG came out the tail and he literally almost fell out of his chair sitting 10 feet away!! :lol: we used my Bee*R rev limiter for a good 10 mins and was told they are going to use the pops for almost every car in the game whe it decels too!
WHAT I GOT:
1) 4 EA Games- SSX tour and Need For Speed Underground for PS2, Godfather and Burnout Revenge for XBOX
2) Free dyno tuning
3) mentioned in the credits of the game
4) a business card and promise they will be calling me again for the future racing games they end up doing!

Nothing is in stone but they are aiming for end of this year (Xmas). the name isnt 100% yet either so for now its called "Need For Speed 7"
