with gas prices so high I am wasting about $400 on gas a month. I am getting about 270miles a tank on my 1jz...
should I have some one to tune my car?
or the second option sale the car?

on a 1jz? it all depends on the way you drive. I drive a 4.5 liter suv dd... i get 200miles to a tank.. and it cost 100+ to fill up on 91 :cry:

i hear 1js are supposed to get better mileage than 7Ms...maybe you should try (as others have said) shifting gears at 2500 RPM. and dbl check your o2 sensors and what not.

change the way you drive. But if you spending that much money a month, maybe a civic would be a good investment.

Yes! GET A DECENT TUNE, and keep you foot out of the turbo , except for a few occasions you need it. You can have your car tuned for gas mileage. I've seen 7M's on here claim 28mpg city. You won't beat that by much in a car you won't enjoy anyway.

i get about 25 mpg average on my 1jz, i get on it every once and a while. but for the most part i drive like a grandma. (about 370 miles per tank if i drive to empty. but i usually re fill my tank around 300 miles)
