I hope someone chimes in on the 98 USDM supra MAF - That would be very convienient, plust it comes with the housing!

Mr Bojangles - Would you happen to know the diamiter of the aristo airbox MAF adapter/pipe?
You can find 2jz-gte MAF's - there just expensive - then you will need the housing. If I can find out the diamiter of the housing, maybe something like this would work-
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/ac...ke-system/_/N-25nb?itemIdentifier=939537_0_0_
or
http://www.treadstoneperformance.com/view.phtml?f_cat=MAF+Flange+Adapters+

I wish some one would chime in too about this that has run into the problem before.

Great find on the housings thou. I think I'm gonna have to pick up one of those CNC housings. They look great.

Spent some time following GOOGLE search links

Lots of information about 2JZGTE VVTI and Aristo MAFs
But, it is not specific enough.

What I mean is someone will say they are running the JDM Aristo MAF - but then not comment on what housing it is installed in. Wrong diamiter housing, it wont work.
I read about how the USDM MAF works, but again without any referance to the housing = ??????

What I have learned -
The USDM 2JZ GE - MAF was not designed to be used in a turbo car. It will provide a full 5 volt signal at less than 1 bar, and more likely at about .5. That would mean fuel cut at 7-14 Lbs. This MAF can not tell the differance between forward flow and backward flow - Backward flow being the BOV recirculating. So, while it may run, it is less than ideal.

I have a Maf sensor on the way. Any idea's how to get the spec's on the housing size? I haven't had any look finding any thing about it.

Spent some time searchng on supra forums - found a few people that have aftermarket MAF adapters and sent them PM's - asking if they know the inside diameter of the housing. Nothing back yet.

Also been searching club lexus, myis.com etc -

I'd be really surprised if HKS, Apexi, or Greddy didn't make an intake kit for the Aristo. That's all you'd need. It would have a MAF adapter tuned to work with the stock ECU.

If not, just make a pipe, or there is this kit http://tinyurl.com/8mr4sn9 that is a universal 3" maf adapter. 3" should be close to what you need. If you're off by a bit with the pipe size the ECU will correct up to 20% by itself using the LT fuel trim. If that's not enough you can also correct it yourself using a SAFC (or something similar). It's pretty much like adjusting for larger or smaller fuel injectors. You'll want to read on how to check and tune by vF, which has been covered here before. It's pretty simple once you understand it.
