last weekend I had the heater hose thats behind the passenger side Valve cover split. The hose split and spewed water over the motor. it got warm but never wet over 200 F. I replaced the hose replaced the water and coolant. now in the Morning when I start the car it squeals. the weird thing is it doesn't seem to be the same speed as the motor is going. was thinking belts but the squeal doesn't seem to match.
The other part is I have been having starting I get a Click like the solenoid is firing but not catching the starter. My first assumption is Starter/ solenoid. any other places to look?

Thanks for taking the time to look this over

i don't think the hose had anything to do with the squaling of your belts when ever somthing bad happens to my car it always happens in pairs for some reason and usally isn't a cause and effect relation lol. I have a theory that most older cars always have somthing wrong with them we just subconsialy ignore them until we have to fix somthing else lol

not sure about the squel, i doubt its from the hose problem. just take a minute and check your belts bro. does it go away? as for your click. i dont think its your selonoid. toyota starters hardly ever go bad, its usaully just the starter contacts inside. two copper contacts. easy fix.

Damn Hope not I just had a new clutch put in. Altho that makes a little sence since the Squealing sound doesnt match the engine RPM.

the belts are all less that 5 Months old just had the engine rebuilt. I dont want to get into that Nightmare.

water could have shorted the starter solinoid. maybe got some water in the clutch and made its sound wierd. just thinking if the water happened to have gotten anywhere around there.
